Ty Phillips, current Board President for Friends of George’s, has been involved in theatre in some form for most of his life. He studied film at the North Carolina School of the Arts and began working with Friends of George’s in 2010 as part of the George’s Reunion at Minglewood Hall, joining the board shortly thereafter. While he began his theatre journey as an actor onstage, Ty discovered his true passion lies in the creative work behind the scenes. In addition to his sound and video contributions, he has written several original scripts performed by George’s—and has a couple more simmering on the stove for future shows.
