George’s opened on Madison in 1969. Ten years later, it moved to Marshall and kept the title. The Showplace of the South held court there through most of the eighties, and the dance floor logo on this shirt is the one that watched it all happen. White lettering on teal, because the Showplace never stayed in one lane.
