Ticket Policy

All ticket sales for Friends of George’s are final, and we do not issue refunds. If your plans change, you have several self-service options instead. Most can be handled directly from your order page without contacting us.

Where Every Change Starts

After you purchase, you’ll receive two emails: an order confirmation with a View Order link, and a ticket delivery email with a Show Ticket link. Either one opens the page where you can transfer, upgrade, rebook, update, or release your ticket.

Keep both emails handy, or bookmark one. If you can’t find them, search your inbox for “your tickets,” “view order,” “vivenu,” or “Friends of George’s.”

Transfer Your Ticket

If you can’t attend but know someone who can use the seat, you can pass it along without contacting us.

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Click Transfer.
  3. Enter the recipient’s email address and submit.
  4. The recipient receives an invitation and confirms their details to accept.
  5. Once they accept, your original ticket is cancelled and they receive a new one with a fresh barcode.

The transfer stays pending until your recipient accepts, and your original ticket remains valid in your name until then. Start the process early so they have time to confirm before curtain.

Upgrade Your Ticket

If you’d like a better seat or a higher tier, you can upgrade and pay only the difference.

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Click Upgrade.
  3. Choose from the available options.
  4. Review the price difference and complete checkout.
  5. Your original ticket is cancelled and a new one is issued for the upgraded tier.

Upgrade options depend on what’s available at the time, so the sooner you act, the more choices you’ll have.

Rebook for a Different Date

If you need a different performance, rebooking exchanges your ticket for another available date.

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Click Reschedule.
  3. Choose an available performance.
  4. If there’s a price difference, complete a short checkout to cover it.
  5. Your original ticket is cancelled and a new one is issued for the new date.

Rebooking is subject to availability. If the option isn’t showing on your order page, contact the box office and we’ll do our best to help.

Donate Your Ticket Back

If you can’t attend and don’t have anyone to pass the ticket to, you can release it back to Friends of George’s so we can offer it to someone else.

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Click Release.
  3. Confirm when prompted.

Released tickets are surrendered voluntarily with no refund issued. If the Release option isn’t available for your ticket, contact the box office and we’ll handle it from there.

Update the Name or Details on Your Ticket

Some tickets require a name and email before they’re valid. If you need to add those details or correct a name, you can do so from your order page.

To add details for the first time:

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Any ticket needing details will show a notice.
  3. Click Activate Ticket or Personalize Ticket.
  4. Fill in the required fields and submit. Your ticket becomes valid and downloadable once complete.

To update details you’ve already entered:

  1. Open your order page from either email.
  2. Find your ticket and click Change Personalization.
  3. Update the fields and submit.

Updating details may generate a new barcode and void the old one, so re-download your ticket afterward. If you purchased multiple tickets, each one is personalized individually. You can share your order link with your group so everyone fills in their own.

Download or Save Your Ticket

Once your ticket is confirmed and any required details are complete, you have three ways to carry it:

  • PDF. Click Download E-Ticket, then print it or keep it on your phone.
  • Apple Wallet. Click Add to Apple Wallet and follow the prompts.
  • Google Wallet. Click Add to Google Wallet and follow the prompts.
